Assam
Assam is one of the world’s largest tea growing region, located in India’s northeastern part, crossed by the Brahmaputra river. This part of India experiences heavy rainfall, up to 250-300ml per day in the monsoon season, with temperatures rising up to 36°C, resulting in a greenhouse-like environment. This tropical climate gives Assam tea it’s unique taste.

Short for Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe, one of many tea grades. Teas in this class are made from the highest grade, uneven leaves with few tips.
